To give stability to the steam-curved top and ensure comfortable support, Wegner developed the characteristic Y-shaped backrest that gives the Wishbone chair its name. More than 100 steps are required to make each Wishbone chair, most of which are carried out by hand.

The armchair uses a natural, peeled and dyed 34 mm rattan frame.
The backrest is 20 mm diameter peeled and dyed natural rattan. It completes the three-stage coating (colour, back and finish) and UV filtering to make it highly resistant to solar radiation. The finish used is water-based. Possibility of customisation using technical fabrics for various high performance applications. Double-sided plastic felt protection pad.
